Ethnic music positions should be identified
A member of the Policy Council of the 12th Regional Music Festival of Iran says: “If audio, broadcast, mass media, and cultural support centers control and direct genuine music situations among the tribes, our music will not disappear.
Maryam Gharasso, a music researcher and member of the Policy Council of the 12th Regional Music Festival of Iran, said: “Certainly four days is not enough for a music festival, but in a space where we don’t have enough executive conditions to have performances and bringing together the music and musicians, these four days are trophy.
The artist makes sense with his audience. In addition to civil and economic support from artists, the only other support from them is providing the performance without restriction and related opportunities. Music artists in our area must have ability to impose their music in every area they have permission.
She added: “The relationship of the ethnical music of Iranian people with the people of that tribe is not like performing on stage, but music is at the heart of their lives.” We need to identify these events and strengthen those situations.
Our regional music is in the heart of people’s lives. We need to identify those and provide them positions in a managed and specialized way and allow the artist to perform without any limitations. The boundaries have to be removed because our musical culture sees the drought in front of itself.
In the end, the regoinal music researcher said: “If Voice and Radio Organization, mass media and cultural support centers control and direct genuine musical situations among the tribes, our music will not be destroyed; while it is only weakeningand in the later periods, it may have regained its strength, but in order to get out of stagnation, there must be cultural centers to identify and support ethnic music situations.
The 12th Iranian folk Music Festival will be held in a national rang and Non-competitive way in Kerman, Iran on November 7-10.
