Introducing the secretary and policy council of folk music festival
Policy council’s board members and director of 14th folk music festival of Iran settled and have been introduced.
Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, positioned; Keyvan Aghamohseni, Narges Zaker Jafari, Ahmad Sadri, Hamidreza Asgari and Mohammad Ali Mer’ati as Policy council’s board members as well also Mr. Mer’Ati as the director of 14th folk music festival of Iran.
This recommendation letter contained: ‘With regard to your valuable scientific, research and valuable experiences, and at the suggestion of the Director General of the Office of Music Affairs, you are appointed as a member of the Policy Council of the 14th folk Music Festival of Iran. We hope that with the help of God Almighty, you will succeed in promoting Iranian culture and art’. In this letter also message continues for 14th festival director; ‘Due to your professional knowledge and valuable artistic experiences, and at the suggestion of the Director General of the Office of Music Affairs, you are hereby appointed as the director of the 14th folk Music Festival. I pray to the God Almighty for your increasing successes’.
Mohammad Ali Merati Born in Kermanshah city – 1972. Fiddle player and composer. He has a master degree in musicology from the University of Marseille in France.PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of Paris, his doctoral dissertation was based on fundamentals in Kurdish music. Specialized fiddle player also familiar with playing the tambourine, setar and daf instruments. He has given numerous research base concerts and presented papers at music research and scientific conferences. Merati has also been a member of the Scientific Council of the 13th folk Music Festival in Iran.
Keyvan Agha Mohseni born in 1981. He started learning music and Ghanoun instruments as a teenager. Bachelor of Music from Soura University, Master of Ethnomusicology from the University of Cinema, Theatre and Media in Hanover, Germany, doctorate in ethnomusicology from Germany. He has researched, studied the music of regions and also has published articles. In the 10th Regional Music Festival of Iran, he was the director of the research department of the festival.
Narges Zakerjafari, while studying music at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, is a PhD student in Art Research from the same university. She has written numerous articles on the subjects of Iranian classical music, the history of Iranian music, instrumentation and music of the Iranian regions, which have been published in scientific-research journals. She is the author of two books entitled ‘Life of Instruments in the Musical History of Iran’ and ‘Theoretical Music of Iran’. She is currently a member of the faculty of the music department of the University of Gilan.
Ahmad Sadri M.Sc. in Art Research with a focus on Music, first-class artistic award from the Artists Evaluation Council of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. He has numerous research, scientific and educational backgrounds and experiences, including being the deputy director of the music group of the Academy of Arts, a member of the editorial board of Khayal Quarterly, published several books and articles, Lecturer of Iranian Arts at Shahid Beheshti University and University of Arts, Scientific Secretary of the Music Department of the International Conference on Wisdom and Philosophy of Art, Faculty member of international conferences; The meaning of beauty, Kamaluddin Behzad, Sultan Mohammad, Nature in Eastern art. And also specialized music conferences; Safiauddin Ormavi, Abdul Qader Maraghei, Qutbuddin Shirazi and Farabi are among Sadri’s other scientific and research activities. He has also been the secretary and judge of various festivals and conferences in the field of art and music as well as the secretary of the 10th to 13th regional music festivals of Iran.
Hamid Askari, He holds a PhD in Musicology from the Institute of Fine Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. He has composed many songs and albums so far “New design” and the book “Methods of arranging local songs for a choir” Among his published works. Leader of Ordibehesht Choir and in his artistic and executive record, the dean of music faculty of the University of Arts, Leading the Tehran Symphony Orchestra Choir and judging the Fajr Music Festival is recognisable in his biodata.
